Among our recent African acquisitions are these unique beaded sashes with cowrie shell inlays, tribal masks with carved animal forms, and mud cloths.
The mud cloths are hand-dyed with mineral mud on large-size cotton pieces from Mali. Cost of each mud cloth is $125. Specific sizes will be forthcoming.
The authentic, painted tribal masks are from Ivory Coast and are in excellent condition. These painted Guro masks, all from the 20th century, are between $150 and $175 each. The wooden dog-face image with the human figure on top is a Dogon mask from Mali.
The beaded sashes are from Nigeria and have extraordinary detail, including cowrie shells around the edges or sewn into the design. Cost of the sashes is $188 to 215 each, and we have about 200 different sashes in stock.
