Often when antique kilims get too worn in some areas, Bulgarians cut them into small sections and make pillow shams out of them. These brilliantly colored pieces, handcrafted in Bulgaria and Turkey, add a flash of color to beds, sofas, and chairs. 

Prices range from about $55 to about $75, depending on the size and quality of the sham. Most shams are about 16" by 16", or one or two inches larger.
